Today, I want to talk about an important aspect when it comes to providing Intensive Home Care nursing services for long-term ventilated adults& children with tracheostomies and that’s the quality aspect!

Standards are extremely important to make a seamless transition from Intensive Care to an Intensive Home Care environment!

Only when proven and third party accredited standards are evident should long-term ventilated adults& children with tracheostomies leave Intensive Care and go home!

This makes perfect sense especially since it’s relatively risky to look after somebody on a ventilator whether at home or in an Intensive Care environment!

We have considered this and have given it some serious thought how INTENSIVE CARE AT HOME can provide a genuine alternative to a long-term stay in Intensive Care!

Quality of life, as well as quality of end of life for long-term ventilated adults& children with tracheostomies can’t be provided in a sterile ICU hospital environment, but can be safely provided in an Intensive Home Care environment if
