Intensive Home care nursing or home mechanical ventilation for adults means that your loved one, requiring long- term mechanical ventilation with Tracheostomy, is living at home, despite one of their very important body’s vital function being dependent on equipment and specialised nursing care.
You can decide what your day looks like because you are in safe hands
You and your loved one decide how to organise your days, away from the pressures and the schedules of an Intensive Care environment, without having to compromise your loved ones safety and your loved ones well-being. INTENSIVE CARE AT HOME’s Critical Care Registered Nurses will support you and your loved one in all key areas of independent living, around the clock 24/7.
Nothing beats home and you can finally stop putting your life on hold
Our services also provide the opportunity for you and your Family to stop visiting the Intensive Care Unit on a regular basis and our services are specifically tailored to help giving you back valuable and precious time that you can spend with your Family and with your loved one at home, rather than in a busy, noisy, sterile and non-Family friendly Hospital environment.
Our mindset is what makes all the difference and it opens possibilities and opportunities
Providing specialised Home Intensive Care nursing services to ventilated Adults and their Families, depending on mechanical ventilation with Tracheostomy, requires specialised Critical Care nursing skills, clinical experience and more importantly- a different approach and a different mindset from conventional clinical Intensive Care nursing- as our services are focused and tailored towards your loved one’s and your needs, opening a window of possibilities, opportunities and an approach of what is in the best interest for you and your loved one, outside of a sterile, noisy, busy and non- Family friendly 24/7 Intensive Care Hospital environment.
Critical Care trained nursing staff are the foundation for the individually designed service
In order to live up to our promises, we exclusively work with Critical Care Registered Nurses that have a minimum of 18 months Clinical experience in Intensive Care and/or have completed a post- graduate certificate in Intensive Care or Critical Care Nursing.
This gives us the foundation of providing a tailor made, holistic service, individually designed for you and your loved one, in order to meet your and your loved ones needs, providing your loved one and your Family with the Quality of Life you need and you deserve, giving you and your loved one the PEACE OF MIND you want and you deserve.
After nursing care and equipment needs have been optimised, then we can focus on your and your loved one’s Quality of Life. This is what makes all the difference of being at home. A handicap means less boundaries as you would think at first and as some clinicians might tell you.
We focus on your strengths and not on your weaknesses!
INTENSIVE CARE AT HOME is responsible for those activities that your loved one is unable to perform, therefore your loved one can fully concentrate on what activities he or she can do best.
Activity creates confidence and self- esteem and therefore we enable and strengthen your loved ones courage, confidence, strength, capabilities and Self- esteem.
From experience we know that overwhelm is just as harmful, as is boredom. We therefore are guided by your and your loved one’s decisions and wishes.
We can also facilitate and organise short stays for your loved one at home, away from Intensive Care, for example a weekend at home or for special occasions such as birthdays or holidays such as Christmas, Easter, Sabbath, Yom Kippur or during any other religious or cultural event that is important to you and your Family.
