\nThe 11 commandments of Quality of Life for long-term mechanically ventilated Adults& Children with Tracheostomy and their Families
\n1.\tThou shall not stay in Intensive Care for more than 60 days
\n2.\tThou shall not get depressed in Intensive Care
\n3.\tThou shall not waste precious resources and block a bed in Intensive Care
\n4.\tThou shall focus on opportunities and possibilities for Patients and Families
\n5.\tThou shall go home and have Quality of Life
\n6.\tThou shall not catch an infection and die in Intensive Care
\n7.\tThou shall think outside of the box
\n8.\tThou shall receive Quality care, safety and great nursing care at home
\n9.\tThou shall create choice for people
\n10.\tThou shall be open minded
\n11.\tThy family shall not spend day and night in Intensive Care putting their lives on hold<\/p>\n
