The only exception to that rule currently is that some Patients die in Intensive Care and don\u2019t leave Intensive Care alive\u2026<\/p>\n<p>In order to create a <strong>better model of care<\/strong> for Adults&amp; Children who are in need of <strong>long- term mechanical ventilation with Tracheostomy<\/strong>, we might have to step outside of the traditional Intensive Care model and we have to think about what those Adults&amp; Children with Tracheostomy and their Families really need.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Home Care creates a better environment for Patients and their Families<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What they generally need besides professional and holistic care is an environment that is more Patient and Family friendly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mechanical Ventilation with Tracheostomy in a home care environment whether it\u2019s for<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Ongoing ventilator dependency<br \/>\n\u2022 a weaning situation<br \/>\n\u2022 an end- of life situation<br \/>\n<strong>can easily be done at home<\/strong> as Intensive Home care models of care in European countries have shown.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The benefits are evident and go way beyond monetary value<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The benefits are evident and emptying some Intensive Care beds earlier by looking at Home Care for long-term ventilated Adults&amp; Children with Tracheostomy is <strong>worth some money for Intensive Care Units<\/strong> and their respective Hospitals. It\u2019s also beneficial for Departments of Health and Private health funds.<\/p>\n<p>Home Care for Patients in need of Intensive Care nursing is<br \/>\n\u2022 more cost effective compared to an expensive Intensive Care bed with costs up to $ 5,000 per day<br \/>\n\u2022 frees up Intensive Care beds that can be used for other more acute admissions<br \/>\n\u2022 far more Patient and Family friendly<br \/>\n\u2022 a proven and successful model of care, as many European countries have shown more than 15 years ago<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/intensivecareathome.com\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>INTENSIVE CARE AT HOME<\/strong><\/a> is looking at the bigger picture and creates a win-win situation that takes the needs of all stakeholders into consideration<\/p>\n<p>The good news is that <strong>INTENSIVE CARE AT HOME<\/strong> has a care model in place that serves your needs as much as the Patients and their Families needs.
